Overview
of Scenic Drives:
Brattleboro - Newfane - Townshend - Jamaica - Londonderry - Chester -
Rockingham - Bellows Falls: This is a beautiful drive starting in Brattleboro,
Vermont [Exit 1 on I-91] and then
traveling along the West River through a number of charming towns and
villages such as Newfane,
Townshend, and Jamaica.
Then continuing into the mountains, and on to Londonderry,
Chester,
and Rockingham

Manchester - Londonderry - Weston - E. Wallingford - Wallingford -
Manchester: This entire drive borders the Green Mountain National Forest and
includes numerous spectacular views. The drive begins in Manchester
at the Intersection of Routes 7A & 11/30 [known by locals as
Malfunction Junction]. You then climb into mountains and on to the
villages of Londonderry
& Weston [Pop. under 500 and a major visitor destination]. It's
then on to East
Wallingford, and then Wallingford by cutting through the Green
Mountain National Forest. Your return to Manchester via Route 7 & 7A
treats you to great views of the eastern slopes of the mountain range. Turn

Killington - Granville Gulf - Warren - Waitsfield - I-89: This drive begins at the Intersection of Route 4 &100, at the base
of the Killington
Resort Access Road. From here to travel north on one of America's
Most Beautiful Roads [Route
100 North] for views that differ turn by turn - but spectacular all
the way. This drive ends at I-89, the gateway to more of the beauty of
Vermont whether you head west to Lake Champlain, or east to scenic I-91.

Stowe - Mt. Mansfield -
Smugglers' Notch - Johnson - Waterbury [64.2 Miles]: This
drive includes crossing Vermont's Highest Mountain - Mt. Mansfield -
Elevation 4393' - [Open from June 15 to October 15]. Crossing via Route
108 , although paved, sometimes is more like a trail than a road. It's a
real treat to the eye, and there are some great pull-offs for parking.
You'll also experience Smugglers Notch, and the picturebook village of
Stowe. This drive begins at the Waterbury/Stowe exit of I-89 and
therefore is easily accessible from both the eastern and western parts
of the state. About

Woodstock - Quechee - Quechee
Gorge - Plymouth Notch & The Lakes Region - Okemo Valley [58.4
Miles]: This drive begins and ends at
I-91. Although only 58 miles long, it will take you to Vermont's
deepest gorge [commonly
referred to as Vermont's Grand Canyon], Quechee Village, Woodstock, The
Okemo Valley, and the Lakes Region of South Central Vermont.
