Northern Vermont

Barton — July 4 – Independence Day Celebration at the Fairgrounds:

Burlington — July 3 - Independence Day Waterfront Celebration:
There's not a more perfect place to celebrate the Holday Weekend than on the shore of Lake Champlain! The celebrations include concerts and other festivities at Perkins Pier, North Beach and Waterfront Park, beginning at about 4:00 p.m. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. http://www.enjoyburlington.com

Moscow — July 4 – World’s Shortest July 4th Parade:
As featured in the New York Times, Moscow’s parade is billed as the world's shortest July 4th parade. Local radio stations provide marching music, and the parade goes up to the end of town, turns around, and marches back again! Starting at 10am on July 4.

Shelburne —July 4 - The Vermont Symphony Orchestra at Shelburne Farms: In celebration of Lake Champlain’s Quadricentennial, the VSO presents a salute to Uncle Sam — Vermont’s own Uncle Sam, that is, Samuel de Champlain, who explored this bordering-on-great lake in 1609. The VSO pays tribute to a Frenchman in America with Gershwin’s “An American in Paris” and a program both Gallic and aquatic: an overture by Berlioz, selections from Les Misérables, Sousa’s Hands Across the Sea March, Handel’s Water Music, and show tunes from South Pacific. Fireworks accompany the 1812 Overture for a dramatic bon soir.

Stowe — July 4 – Stowe Independence Day Celebration:
Featuring the World’s Shortest Marathon, a bouncy house, a BBQ, “seven miles of tent sales,” mountain bike tours, live music, and many more events culminating with a fabulous fireworks display from the Mayo Farm at dusk.

Central Vermont

BrandonJuly 4th – Brandon Independence Day Celebration:

The 4th of July Celebration and Fireman's BBQ is one of the most popular events of the summer! Plymouth Notch — July 4 - President Calvin Coolidge Birthday Celebration:
A great way to spend the 4th! Commemorate the birthday of the only president born on Independence Day at the President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site. At noon, march with members of the VT National Guard from the village green to the cemetery where a wreath from the White House is laid at the President’s grave site. Randolph — July 4 – 4th of July Parade and Celebration:

Rutland — July 4 – Summer Smash 2009 & 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza:

Warren — July 4 - The 61st Annual Warren 4th of July Celebration:
This is a must-see, legendary event! Festivities begin with the wild and wacky parade along Main Street at 10 a.m. Get there early to stake out your spot. Waterbury — June 27 - Independence Day Celebration: The parade is on Main Street at 11:00 a.m. Come for a full day of festivities with food, vendors, games and more at the State Office Complex.

Bennington July 4 - Old Time 4th Celebration and Reading of the Declaration of Independence: Celebrate the Fourth of July with old time fun on the lawn of the Bennington Monument with colonial music, games, and activities for children. Wilmington — July 4 - The 32nd Annual 4th of July Mount Snow Area Fireworks:
